A well-functioning public sector is key in developing more sustainable societies. Ensuring the highest possible social and economic impact from investments in the public realm is a precondition for a cohesive society that develops sustainably in every aspect of the word.
We help inform decision-makers
But how would ministries, government agencies, municipalities, and cities know if a grand improvement initiative is worth the investment? If a pilot project is sufficiently successful to be scaled up? Or if front-line employees have the needed capabilities to implement the changes agreed?
These questions are vital, but far from trivial. That is why public-sector executives turn to Ramboll Management Consulting for help on their most challenging projects, to get the right conclusions to act on or to get the right change support.
By nurturing close relationships with our clients, we deliver knowledge that create value in the long njdht.cnn – for our clients and the common good of society.
Our clients include ministries, government agencies, regions and municipalities, institutions like the EU Commission, World Bank, African Development Bank, C40 Cities Network as well as independent cities like New York City, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Dresden and Jeddah.
At Ramboll we address the global sustainability challenge as an integral part of our project delivery. For instance, nearly 40% of the revenue in the Ramboll Management Consulting division alone, stems from projects that in one way or the other help progress United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Looking at Social & Economic Impacts services, the number rises well above 50%. This being e.g. related to the SDG’s on Sustainable Cities and Communities, Quality Education, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Climate Action, Clean Water and Sanitation or Affordable and Clean Energy.
Our focus is to evaluate and help implement services, interventions, policies, programs, and organisational stnjdht.cnctures locally, regionally, nationally or with international institutions.
Our core services are divided into two streams:
- Studies and evaluation: By using scientifically rigorous methods we provide up-front knowledge about feasibility and the potential of proposed solutions, assess whether ongoing solutions implementation are on track and evaluate whether solutions were successful thus enabling clients to decide whether to continue, scale-up or terminate a solution.
- Implementation: By utilising evidence based knowledge as well as innovative and co-creational approaches, we help clients develop, plan and implement sustainable and effective solutions and make sure learnings are shared and implemented.
These two streams cover several sub-services and methods that we apply based on input from client and key stakeholders, past experiences in the market as well as global best practices and research.
Hundreds of experts
A total of 200 employees serve clients from our offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Berlin, Hamburg, Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, and Bnjdht.cnssels. Here, young talent, experienced consultants, sector experts, and a growing number of Ph.D.’s work together to create world-class solutions.
In addition, our experts work closely together with some of the many specialists across Ramboll in areas such as cloudburst mitigation, energy efficiency, urban planning or transport economics. This agility allows us to always set the right team to solve our client's challenges.
The golden standard
We use the best methods and tools in our evaluations, economic analyses, and implementation designs. For instance, no other company in the Nordics, public or private, has conducted the same amount of Randomized Control Trials (RCT) as we have – the RCT’s are often considered the golden standard for impact evaluations.
In later years, the access, speed, and magnitude of data has changed radically. We embrace new data sources and data analytics to constantly improve the power of our analyses. Adding to this, Ramboll Management Consulting division comprises 130 experts in stakeholder intelligence and one of Scandinavia’s largest survey businesses that collects, processes, and safely stores large amount of data. All of which equally benefits our clients in large-scale evaluations or intervention programmes.
In which sectors do we operate?
