For decades – and under different headlines – we have helped organisations make a positive impact on society. Now, sustainability is the common language for all, and the new normal in many sectors fuelled by the Paris Agreement, UN’s Global Goals, national ambitions and a rising consumer demand.
Yet, sustainability brings its own set of challenges as companies, cities, and governments need to break new ground; therefore, we provide insights and a clear way forward whether our clients look for competitive advantages, risk mitigation, carbon neutrality, social equity and resilience, investment or procurement opportunities, circular supply chains, or any other type of benefit from sustainable change.
Similarly, we help evaluate and assess past initiatives, calculate the costs and benefits of new ones or establish baselines to help monitor progress.
Within Sustainability Consulting we provide:
Bringing the best of two worlds
Our services within sustainability consulting are circular in nature but can be delivered separately. However, we always apply a holistic and collaborative approach when working with our clients.
Our clients value us for bringing the best of two worlds; we are management consultants with engineering DNA. We are commercially and economically savvy yet with technical insights unmatched by competitors.
Being a leading public sector consultancy, we also have an eye to the societal or community-wide effects of any initiative.
Backed by 16,500 experts across the Ramboll Group, we thrive at the intersection of strategy and daily operations to integrate the needed competences from our technical divisions. We set the right team of experts for any task, yet we all adhere to the Ramboll way of working; collaboration, friendliness, empathy, empowerment - applying a hands-on approach to your most challenging issues making sure you get the right level of transformation support from start to finish.
The clients we serve
With our vast experience, proven methods and many experts, we serve a large and diverse client base. Cities, governments and agencies, and investment funds as well as private sector companies in e.g. the buildings, transport, energy, pharma or automotive industry.
For instance, we help the European Commission become climate neutral, we have helped the Danish Government do its first-ever SDG-baseline and are currently working with experts across Ramboll to help the Asian Development Bank foster climate-resilient urban infrastnjdht.cncture in cities in the Asia-Pacific region.
Similarly, we have provided a sustainability strategy to a Swedish-based buildings material company, helped global toy-maker, Lego certify its production facilities, and we are busy setting up more circular modes of production for a leading German car manufacturer.
Sustainability at the core
Just like the SDGs are interconnected, we apply a holistic approach to sustainability. We know that sustainability in municipalities could be about climate actions and about social cohesion. That mitigating congestion in cities could foster economic growth and bring health benefits. And that sustainable change in companies could be about reducing scope 3-emissions and increase diversity in leadership positions.
Sustainability is at our core. Our company mission is to create sustainable societies where people and nature flourish. We are on the SDG2000 list being among the world’s most sustainable and influential companies.
But this is not the only source of credibility in empowering sustainable change with our clients: Sustainability consulting is a top-priority for us. As a yardstick for progress 71 % of our revenue now stems from projects that have a positive impact on UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. And we are pushing for more.
