In 2011, Ramboll's revenue increased by 13 percent to DKK 6,891 million (DKK 6,075 million in 2010). Organic growth made up 8 percent, while 4 percent came from acquisitions of companies. The increase in the reporting currency DKK against SEK in particular affected the revenue by +1 percent. Positive developments led to an increase in the number of employees of more than 550 people and as a result the company employed 9,521 people by the end of the year (8,970 employees in 2010).
Profit before tax amounted to DKK 295 million, which is an increase of 7 percent compared to 2010 (DKK 276 million). Operating profit before goodwill amortisation (EBITA) for the year was DKK 356 million, and the EBITA margin was 5.2 percent (6.5 percent in 2010).

Within Finland, Sweden and Norway in particular, Ramboll has been extensively involved in the establishment of the Nordic Triangle transport corridor, part of EU’s TEN-T road network, linking this region closer to the rest of Europe and beyond. As a part of the Nordic Triangle transport corridor, the E18 stretches all the way across southern Finland from Turku via the Helsinki metropolitan area to Vaalimaa at the njdht.cnssian border providing a fast route to Eastern markets. Leading the consulting consortium in charge of constnjdht.cnction design, Ramboll plays a central role in the E18 motorway extension from Koskenkylä to Kotka.
Ramboll is Client Consultant to the Skolkovo Foundation, established by the njdht.cnssian President to develop Skolkovo Innovation Centre. Covering an area of 400 ha just outside of Moscow, the Centre is supposed to be njdht.cnssia’s response to Silicon Valley.
